FOCUS ON:
(i) About Us
LifeWhys is a trading name of LifeThrives CIC, a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to helping children and young people, their families and communities (CYPF&C) to thrive. To this end, we provide a range of services and resources in partnership with a number of other organisations that share the achievement of this vision.
Our Background
We are a team from a range of backgrounds including public, private and voluntary sectors - all with a passion for helping people and communities to thrive. Through this, much of our experience has been in work with CYPF&C who are experiencing exclusion and caught in a cycle of low achievement. Through this, we have also been able to have input to several Government policies.
In seeking effective solutions to these problems and our desire to help all CYPF&C, we have identified a number of tools and solutions that are embodied in the LifeWhys Framework. Explore our site to discover more about these transformational solutions.

We Believe
. . .
- All children, adolescents and adults need and deserve the range of "life thriving factors" identified in the LifeWhys Framework.
- All ‘children, adolescents and adults’ includes those of all races, ethnicities, cultures, genders, religions, economic backgrounds, sexual orientation, and abilities.
- Significant community and societal change is needed to ensure the equitable spread of the LifeWhys Framework.
- All communities have the talent, wisdom, and expertise to create life thriving factor-building communities.
- Life thriving factors have many sources, including adult influence, peer influence, families, neighbourhoods, faith groups, schools, and youth organisations.
- These resources, individually and in combination, can be powerfully mobilised at the local, community level.
- The community and social change needed to reach our vision requires major transformation of how we see, know, and relate with all in our ‘communities’.
- Children and adolescents are particularly powerful agents of change and should be positioned as leaders in transforming community and society.
- The prime actors in this transformation are all people: children, adolescents, and adults.
- LifeThrive's role is to provide knowledge and resources to help them create an environment that supports all.

Endorsements
- ".. I believe the framework will be very helpful in giving a structure to many projects and increase their effectiveness. In this context, I can already see how it could help several projects I am directly involved with and others related to the Church of England and beyond."

Community interest companies (CIC) are a new type of limited company designed specifically to operate for the benefit of the community rather than for the benefit of the owners of the company.
CICs have a statutory "Asset Lock" so that assets and profits are retained within the CIC for community purposes, or transferred to another asset-locked organisation, such as another CIC or charity. LifeWhys selected beneficiary is Oasis Charitable Trust.
